The ELG (Electrolysis Legacy Group) aims to create a community of professional and student electrolysists, who work to support each other and the public who wish to receive permanent hair removal and treatment for unwanted blemishes.

The ELG is the brainchild of Sharon Birchall, a long-standing electrolysist based in Warrington, UK. It was born out of a need to bring the whole of our electrolysis community together to support, promote and secure the long-term survival of the Electrolysis industry.

Electrolysis is the only process currently available that can treat unwanted hair anywhere on the body, regardless of colour, permanently.

The ELG wants to support current professionals and students at every point of their learning journey and future careers with advice and articles relating to training, industry suppliers business guidance and much more.

We want students and professionals to have their say in how the industry evolves and have a chance to contribute to a lasting legacy of information and resources for those entering the industry in the years to come.

We want to support and promote other valuable industry organisations and the work that they do.

We want to give industry professionals the confidence to give back to the industry perhaps through talks and presentations or our mentorship programme.
This may sound a little daunting but the ELG is here to support and encourage as we believe that everyone has something valuable to give even if you don’t quite realise it yet.

Students can access resources to help support them with their practical and theoretical knowledge. They can expect to receive support and mentorship from experienced professionals and have access to guidance and support on their future careers from finding reputable training, guidance on how to set up a business, advice on reputable industry suppliers and much more.

The ELG wants to help students become confident in their abilities and support them throughout their whole careers so they can flourish alongside other industry professionals.

The ELG wants to create a community that understands how important it is to support each other whilst ensuring the public is aware of the valuable services we provide and how it can benefit them.

The most important aspect of all this is the public.

The ELG wants to create a rich source of information that the public can rely on so they appreciate what electrolysis can offer, how it works and what they can expect to achieve from the treatments provided. We want to help them find expert, qualified professionals in their area who can work with them to achieve their goals. On top of that, we want them to see that they too could have an incredible career as an electrolysist; after all, that’s how many of us started our journey.

What an amazing Electrolysis legacy to leave, resulting in an industry that never gets left behind with passionate professionals who want the very best for their fellow colleagues and the public.
